QUOTES BY HEAD COACH John Mercer

"I am very impressed with how we played on the singles court. How we played after losing that doubles point really showed a lot about our character."

"Many of our girls stepped up today. Kai [Broomfield] had that quick win on court five which put us right back in the match at 1-1. Maddie [Silver] and Anna [Pomyatinskaya] played awesome today and really controlled their matches. And then, Derya [Turhan] and Rachael [Morales] really came through for us. They both had their ups and downs but managed to battle through the adversity. They never gave up and they never stopped competing. None of the girls did today."

"Winning four singles matches is a hard thing to do, and we won five. How we carried ourselves today was a huge step forward and set high expectations for the rest of the year."
