HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall track and field begins its indoor league championships Thursday, Feb. 26, in Birmingham, Ala., at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
The Herd will begin things at 11 a.m. (CT) with the women's pentathlon and will have 24 athletes competing in the event.
Marshall's best finish in the last nine C-USA Championships is 10th, which they have finished at on more than one occasion.
The Herd ispaced by sprinter Isatu Fofanah (Ponoka, Alberta, Can.), who has already broken two school records in her first season, and fellow sophomore Catika Slay (Douglasville, Ga.), who excels in the long jump. The senior-sophomore duo of Antonique Butler (Nassau, Bahamas) and Loren Dyer (Lortan, Va.) also pose a threat in the triple jump.
