Final Round at The Greenbrier Called Due to Lightning

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. -- Due to inclement weather conditions including rain and lightning, the final round of the Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational was called off after a one hour and 30 minute delay at The Old White TPC on Tuesday.
The players finished three to four holes before the lightning alarm sounded around 10:30 a.m. The final scores were reverted to the 36-hole totals, which put Marshall men's golf in a tie for third place with Old Dominion at 11-over-par 571.
"It was a good tournament for us and a great way to get ready for the Conference USA Championship," coach Matt Grobe said. "We really wish we could have played the final round today."
Defending runner-up Logan Lagodich (Canton, Ohio) finished in sixth place, three strokes behind the champions. He posted the event's best average on par 3s and par 5s at 2-under 2.75 and 3-under 4.25, respectively. He and teammate Alex Weiss (Pickerington, Ohio) shot the second-most birdies of the tournament with nine each. Weiss led the team with a 2-under 68 in the second round.
ON THE LEADERBOARD
No. 37 East Tennessee State finished one stroke ahead of Eastern Kentucky to win at 6-over 566. Three players championed the individual side: ETSU's Gudmund Kristjansson, Elon's Jonathan Dilanni and Eastern Kentucky's Jared Brown each carded 3-under 137.
