HAVE YOU HERD?
The Herd dropped another close contest to former Mid-American Conference rival Ohio on Wednesday, falling 4-2 after the Bobcats plated three runs in the ninth inning.
Sophomore catcher Matt Reed (Purcellville, Va.) sits atop the conference in runners caught stealing with 12. He has allowed just four passed balls in 31 games this season. Reed is coming off a productive weekend against No. 22 Florida Atlantic, hitting his first collegiate homer and collecting three RBI on the weekend.
Marshall has the statistical advantage in eight of 10 categories (see game notes) entering into the weekend.
