HUNTINGTON, W. Va. -- After earning Conference USA All-Academic honors on Monday, the awards continue for Marshall baseball's Chase Boster, who was named to the All-C-USA second team, as announced by the league earlier this afternoon.

Boster, a junior from Stafford, Va., led the 2015 Herd with a 7-1 record, including five wins in C-USA play and three consecutive wins to open up the league series, including a win over then first-place Middle Tennessee.

Boster maintained a below 2.00 ERA until May, when he was dealt his first loss of the season against a Southern Miss squad that went on to win 13 straight. He is the first pitcher in MU history to record the team's first win of the season in three consecutive seasons (2013, 2014, 2015).

He ended the season with a 2.95 ERA, 10th best in C-USA, and a .233 opponent's batting average, 8th best in C-USA. His seven wins were the fourth best in the league.

Boster is Marshall's first all-conference selection since 2013, when junior pitcher Aaron Blair and senior outfielder Isaac Ballou each garnered first team recognition. Both were selected in the First Year Player MLB draft later that summer.

The all-conference teams are selected by a panel of league head coaches, each team's media relations contact, and a representative of the media from each city.
