ESPN Sets "Battle for the Bell" Game Time

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The 2015 Marshall-Ohio football game, known as the "Battle for the Bell," has been set for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12 and will be televised on ESPN3, the network announced Wednesday.

Marshall emerged victorious last season with a 44-14 victory, rolling up more than 700 yards of total offense. Wide receivers Davonte Allen (two) and Angelo Jean-Louis (one) and running back Devon Johnson (one) accounted for four of the five Thundering Herd touchdowns in the game and all three return in 2015.

The game at Peden Stadium in Athens, Ohio -- the Herd's road opener -- will be the 59th in the rivalry. Marshall has played the Bobcats more than any other opponent.

Marshall will hold a season ticket Choose-Your-Seat day on Friday, June 26 from 3-7 p.m. at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

The first time season ticket holders may call the ticket office at 800-THE-HERD to purchase single-game tickets will be Monday, June 29.It is recommended that customers use HerdZone.com to purchase and save.

Then, all remaining single-game tickets will go on sale Friday, July 17 at 5 p.m. on HerdZone.com. Tickets for all of Marshall's six away games also are on sale to the general public.

The ticket office will also offer print-at-home and mobile ticketing options to fans for the first time this season. More information about those options will be announced as the season nears.
