Yurachek Named to Mackey Award Midseason Watch List

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Marshall tight end Ryan Yurachek was named to the John Mackey Award's Midseason Watch List Wednesday afternoon.
Through the first five games of the season, Yurachek has caught 13 passes for 165 yards and three touchdowns, with a career-long gain of 58 yards. The nation's leading scoring tight end in 2015, he has 14 career TD receptions in 18 career starts to lead all Marshall student-athletes. He has also caught a pass in 23 consecutive games, dating back to midway through his freshman season.
Given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end, the award recipient is selected by vote of the JohnMackey Award Selection Committee and the 2016 John Mackey recipient will be announced on December 7, 2016 and then presented live on December 8, 2016 at The Home Depot College Football Awards Red Carpet Show on ESPNU. Other key dates include the announcement of the 2016 Mackey Semi-finalists on November 14, 2016 and the 2016 Mackey Finalists on November 22, 2016.
