HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall volleyball closes out its Conference USA three-match road trip on Friday in south Florida at FIU. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.

HAVE YOU HERD?
Marshall has a 16-6 overall record and is 5-2 in C-USA play. The Thundering Herd split its two road matches last weekend with a four-set win over Louisiana Tech and a loss at Rice. Seniors Ally Kiekover and Cassie Weaver had a team-high 24 kills in the two matches.

Madison Hill was recognized by Conference USA on Monday as she was named C-USA Freshman of the Week. Hill set a career-high for points (19.0) and blocks (8) and tied a new high for kills (13) against FIU on Oct. 11. She finished the week with 30 kills at a .451 clip. The Herd has now won at least one award in six out of eight weeks this season. It was Hill's second freshman of the week honor.

Five members of the Thundering Herd rank nationally in five categories. Allie Kellerman ranks 54th for digs (370) and 65th for digs per set (4.68). Kiekover ranks 59th for hitting percentage (.362) and Weaver is 150th in kills (247). Hill is the highest ranked Herd player as she sits at sixth for hitting percentage (.444). Freshman Jac'cara Walker ranks 147th in kills per set (3.39).

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
This will be the second meeting between Marshall and FIU (7-14, 1-6 C-USA) in less than two weeks. The Thundering Herd defeated the Panthers in three sets (26-24, 25-17, 25-13). This past weekend, FIU was swept at Charlotte and at No. 25 WKU.

The Panthers are led by Katie Hogan and Taija Thomas on offense. Hogan has a team-best 221 kills while Thomas has 161 kills. Jennifer Ene recorded her 45th career solo block against the Lady Toppers last Sunday, which tied her for second in program history. Ene has a team-high 65 blocks this season.
