Marshall Track and Field Announces 2017 Indoor Home Meets

Thundering Herd Invitational Information | Chipotle Marshall Invitational Information
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall Track and Field Head Coach Jeff Small announced on Wednesday two indoor track and field meets which will be hosted by Marshall in early 2017.
The two meets, both of which have taken place the past several years at the Chris Cline Athletics Complex, are the Thundering Herd Invitational and Chipotle Marshall Invitational.
The Thundering Herd Invitational is slated for Friday January 27th and Saturday January 28th, 2017. 20 teams have already committed to this meet including Wake Forest, Cincinnati, and Florida International.
The Chipotle Marshall Invitational is set for two weeks later, on Friday February 10th through Saturday February 11th, 2017. 17 teams are already committed for this meet, including Eastern Kentucky, Winthrop, and the West Virginia women's track team.
"The word is getting out that our new indoor facility is a great place to compete, and we are very excited to get some more great competition coming in this year," Marshall Assistant Coach Travis Coleman commented. "We are looking forward to these meets."
