Marshall Volleyball Travels to WKU, Florida Atlantic This Weekend

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall Volleyball hits the road once again to face WKU Friday at 7 p.m. (6 p.m. CT) and Florida Atlantic Sunday at 12 p.m. ET.

Have You Herd?
Marshall is coming off back-to-back home wins over Louisiana Tech (3-1) and FIU (3-2). The Thundering Herd is currently second in the league in digs per set (15.25).
Jac'cara Walker is fifth in the league in service aces per set (0.43) and ninth in kills (3.68). Madison Hill is sixth in kills (3.81) and Justice Craft is eighth in hitting percentage (.361). Madelyn Cole is sixth in assists (10.28) and Addisyn Rowe (1.10) and Jessa Long (3.48) are both seventh in blocks and digs, respectively.
Scouting the Hilltoppers
WKU (23-2, 9-0) has won 19 consecutive matches and 28 straight sets this season to stay atop the league standings. Its only losses have come in the Cardinal Classic in early September, falling at Louisville (3-1) and to Illinois (3-0) on a neutral floor.
The Hilltoppers lead the league in hitting percentage (.365). Individually, Rachel Anderson paces that category as well, hitting .464 and Alyssa Cavanaugh is tops in kills (4.66 per set). Sophia Cerino is number one in the service aces category (0.62).
Scouting the Owls
Florida Atlantic (13-7, 4-4) is locked in a three-way battle for sixth in the league standings with Marshall and Charlotte. The Owls are second in C-USA in assists (13.91).
Ivone Martinez (11.62) is second in the conference in assists, as is Alex Cardona in digs (4.03). Sigourney Kame is third in kills (3.97).
