Emma Barnett Named to Preseason All-SBC Team

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Volleyball sophomore Emma Barnett was named to the 2026 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Team on Wednesday, as announced by the league office.
Â
A third-team honoree in 2025, Barnett had quite the freshman season. The native of Louisville, Kentucky, led the Herd with 381.0 points and 331 kills in 2025. Barnett had 20 matches of at least 10 kills, including the final seven games of the season.

Marshall has an exhibition on Wednesday in Columbus, Ohio, against Ohio State at 5 p.m. and hosts its annual Green & White Scrimmage on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Herd is set to open the regular season on August 28 as it starts its home tournament against Niagara at 1 p.m. and Bucknell at 7 p.m. in the Cam Henderson Center.
