@HerdVolleyball Headed to Charlotte, Middle Tennessee This Weekend

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall volleyball team will be on the road this weekend, with matches against Charlotte and Middle Tennessee.
The Thundering Herd with take on the 49ers on Friday at 6 p.m. and will face the Blue Raiders on Sunday at 2 p.m. Friday's match will be carried on beIN SPORTS on tape delay at 8 p.m.

Marshall (5-10) comes off its sweep over USC Upstate and a four-set win of Furman where Jac’cara Walker had a career-high of 26 kills.
Walker enters the weekend leading Conference USA with 4.41 kills per set and is second in service aces at 0.41 per set. Addisyn Rowe (1.05/set) and Jessa Long (3.56/set) are currently both seventh in blocks and digs, respectively, while Madelyn Cole is eighth in the league in assists (8.65/set).
Scouting the 49ers
Charlotte (13-3) recently swept Hampton, posting a hitting percentage of .426. The 49ers lead the league in hitting percentage allowed (.128) and blocks (3.02/set), boasting the conference’s top two individuals in that category (Tatyana Thomas, 1.67/set and Janelle Curtiss, 1.20/set) as well. Yumi Garcia (5.54/set) holds the league’s top mark in digs.
Scouting the Blue Raiders
Middle Tennessee (4-10) recently fell to the Penn Quakers in a three-set loss. Makaila York tallied 46 kills on the weekend to average 4.18 kills per set and earned a spot on the Robert Morris Invitational All- Tournament Team. Dora Peonia is third in the league with 0.40 service aces per set.
