HERD PREPARES FOR HOME AND HOME VS. MOREHEAD STATE

Morehead, KY--The Thundering Herd baseball team travels to Kentucky Tuesday for a mid-week home and home series against Morehead State before heading back to Kennedy Center Field Wednesday. Both Marshall (11-12) and Morehead (16-13) will be looking to get back in the win column after losing their previous series. Game one will take place Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Morehead, and Game two will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Huntington.

HAVE YOU HERD?
--Second baseman Peter Hutzal became the first member of the Herd to have a multi-home run game this season in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against FAU. Hutzal now holds a team-high four home runs in his first year with Marshall.
--Catcher Reynaldo Pastrana continues to be a deterrent to baserunners looking to steal. Pastrana has picked off 50 percent (7-14) of runners looking to advance this season.
--Will Ray, now a full-time utility player after an injury to his pitching arm, has impressed on the plate racking up a .300 batting average and 14 RBIs in just 50 at-bats.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
--Trevor Snyder is Morehead's power-hitting threat. The junior has a team-high 24 RBIs and four homers this season.
--Braxton Morris leads the Eagles with a .408 On-base percentage and a .508 slugging percentage. Morris has 49 hits on the year, 14 more than any other Morehead player.
--Tuesday starter Kyle Cantu's 3.28 ERA is the lowest among Eagles starting pitchers this season.
