HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall women's soccer team opens up Conference USA play Friday night as the Florida Atlantic Owls come to Hoops Family Field. Kickoff of the C-USA opener is set for 7 p.m.

The Thundering Herd enters the match at 2-3-2 and the Owls come in at 2-6.

Fans who cannot attend the match, can tune in through HerdVision on C-USAtv as Jake Griffith will have the call, as well as on 88.1 WMUL-FM on-air and online at www.marshall.edu/wmul through one of the Listen Live links.

"FAU is a good team," Herd head coach Kevin Long said. "Well coached, and we expect then to be well organized and effective on both sides of the ball. We will look to continue making strides in owning and performing a style of play that makes us unique and dangerous, and we want to increase the urgency in our defense of our own goal."

Marshall returns home after three-straight matches on the road. The Herd played at Ohio, High Point and Gardner-Webb since last stepping on Hoops Family Field on Aug. 31 against EKU. Marshall fell to Ohio, 3-1, defeated High Point, 1-0, and tied Gardner-Webb, 2-2.
