Women’s Soccer to Host UTSA

Marshall looks to get back in the win column

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall women's soccer (4-9-0, 2-3-0) will play host the UTSA Roadrunners in the penultimate home game of the season on Sunday (Oct. 12). First kick is scheduled for Noon.

LAST TIME OUT
Last week the Herd split a pair of matches defeating Old Dominion in double overtime 3-2 and falling to Charlotte 2-1.
 
In the win over the Monarchs, Marah Abu-Tayeh scored a pair of goals in regulation on eight shots with six shots on goal. The game winner was scored by Alyssa Totzke who played a mere six minutes in the contest.
 
M. Abu-Tayeh extended her point streak to four games with an assist to her sister Farah Abu-Tayeh on the Herd's lone goal in its loss to Charlotte.
 
SCOUTING UTSA
The Roadrunners are 4-6-1 with an 0-4-0 record on Conference USA action. All four of UTSA's conference losses have been by one goal and they are coming off a 2-1 loss on Thursday night at FAU.
 
Ellis Patterson leads the way for the Roadrunners with 11 points on four goals, tied for the lead with Lexi Bolton, and three assists, tied for second on the squad. Isa Hernandez has four assists to lead the team.
 
UTSA has had eight different goal scorers.
 
Goalkeeper Sophie Milich has three shutouts this season.
