Women’s Soccer Finishes Season with Home Match Against WKU

Marshall looks to get in the win column in final contest
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall women's soccer (4-13-0, 2-7-0) closes out the season on Friday night at Hoops Family Field with a clash against Western Kentucky at 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Last week the Herd took on Louisiana Tech in Ruston.
MU took the early lead with a goal by Marah Abu-Tayeh in the seventh minute, the Lady Techsters struck in the 28th minute to tie up the game.
In the second half, Julia Schukle struck for a goal in the 54th minute on assist from M. Abu-Tayeh to put Marshall up 2-1.
LA Tech scored in the 81st minute to tie it up and then scored the game winner four minutes late as the Herd fell 3-2.
The loss along with UTSA winning on Sunday eliminated Marshall from Conference USA tournament contention.
SCOUTING WKU
The Hilltoppers enter the contest with a 9-6-1 overall record including a 5-4-0 Conference USA record. WKU won its last contest on Oct. 25 at home against UAB 1-0.
Ashley Leonard leads the way for the Hilltoppers with seven goals, while Ambere Barnett has a team-leading 16 points and six assists while being tied for second in goals with five.
Anne-Marie Ulliac is the keeper of record in all 16 of her team's matches, posting four shutouts this season.
