Bendziewicz Wins Another Conference USA Swimmer of the Week Award

Marshall swimmer earns third weekly honor
IRVING, Tx. – Marshall swimmer Catherine Bendziewicz was named Conference USA Swimmer of the Week for the third time in 2019-20 in an announcement made by the league office on Wednesday.
Bendziewicz was less than one second off of two U.S. Olympic Trial standards at the U.S. Open Championships last week. She narrowly missed the cut in the 200 IM (2:17.39) and the 100 Free (56.29). Bendziewicz achieved three lifetime best performances in the event, posting her top marks in the 200 IM, 100 Free and 200 Free (2:03.24), notching significantly lower times in all three competitions. This is her third Swimmer of the Week honor this season.
Marshall will be back in action on Saturday, January 11 at Duquesne in a meet that is set to begin at 11 a.m.
