Special Announcement on Marshall Baseball’s Future Scheduled for Thursday

Event scheduled for 3 p.m.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The Huntington Municipal Development Authority, the City of Huntington, Marshall University and Marshall Athletics will make a special announcement regarding the purchase of the Flint Group property at a 3 p.m. event on Thursday.
All Big Green members, Marshall supporters and the Tri-State baseball community are encouraged to attend. Refreshments and snacks will be served.
The event will be held on the property which runs north along 5th Avenue and from east to west on 24th Street in Huntington. Marshall University President Dr. Jerry Gilbert, Athletics Director Mike Hamrick, Huntington Mayor Steve Williams and Marshall's legendary baseball coach Jack Cook will be among those in attendance.
Additional information regarding plans for the site, the launch of the Herd Rises fundraising campaign and the Marshall Baseball program will be announced on Thursday.
