Final Results
STATESBORO, Ga. – The Marshall men's golf team finished the final round of the Georgia Southern Individual Collegiate Tuesday afternoon from the Georgia Southern Golf Course.
Redshirt sophomore Cameron Root was the top finished for the Herd, tied for 17th overall.
"This was a really good event for our team," head coach Matt Grobe said. "Each of our guys were able to get three competitive rounds and now have a month to get better before we head to Pinehurst."
Steven DiLisio of Duke brought home the top spot with an 8-under 208. There wasn't a team championship as it is an individual tournament with most schools sending no more than four players.
Marshall will next hit the links at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, March 8-10, in Pinehurst, N.C. The Herd's remaining spring schedule includes the Furman Intercollegiate (March 22-24), Irish Creek Intercollegiate (April 6-7) and the Conference USA Championships (April 22-25).
