Track and Field to Compete In Keydet Invitational

First road meet of 2020 for Thundering Herd

LEXINGTON, Va.—The Marshall University track and field team will travel to Lexington, Virginia to compete in the 2020 Keydet Invitational, hosted by Virginia Military Institute (VMI). The two-day meet is set to take place Friday, Jan. 17 and Saturday, Jan. 18.
The following schools are expected to compete this weekend: Roanoke, Lenoir-Rhyne, Mt. Olive, American, Bridgewater, Bryant & Stratton, CNU, District, Gardner Webb, GMU, Hagerstown, Hampton, High Point, JMU, Lincoln University (PA), Lynchburg, Marshall, Milligan, Morgan State, Mt. St. Mary's, Norfolk, Randolph, Saint Francis, SVU, UNCA, Virginia, Virginia Wes. U, VSU, VUU, West Point, WLU, and Kentucky Christian.
Marshall competes for the first time in the 2019-20 season on the road. The Herd won the Marshall Opener in early December, and tied for first place last weekend with James Madison in the Marshall Women's Classic.
Redshirt junior Torie Derrow and freshman Jillian King are scheduled to begin action for Marshall athletes at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the multi-event pentathlon. Herd athletes resume action Saturday morning at 10:25 a.m.
