HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall men's basketball heads to Birmingham to take on UAB in a rematch from a contest in mid-January on Thursday night.

Redshirt junior Jannson Williams collected his first double-double of the season with 14 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in a win over Old Dominion on Feb. 22.
Junior Jarrod West is now just 11 steals from eclipsing Skip Henderson's men's basketball program record of 208. West leads Conference USA and is 16th in Div. I men's basketball with 61 steals this season.
Marshall is third in Div. I men's basketball with 169 blocked shots this season, 10 behind Conference USA foe FIU's nation leading 179.
Sophomore guard Taevion Kinsey leads the Herd with 15.9 points per game, sixth most in C-USA. Kinsey is also fourth in the conference with 4.1 assists per game, while West sits in fifth with 4.0.
Williams has 41 blocks this season, second most in C-USA behind FIU's Osasumwen Osaghae country leading 105 rejections.
SCOUTING UAB
The Blazers have a pair of players averaging double-figure points this season with Jalen Benjamin and Tavin Lovan each averaging 12.7 points per game. Lovan leads the team in assists and steals with 55 and 35, respectively, while each of the two guards is tied for second in rebounds at 4.5 per contest.
Makhtar Gueye leads the Blazers with 5.2 rebounds per game.
The Blazers took the beating between the two squads earlier in the season on Jan. 11 by a score of 61-50.
UAB saw a two-game win streak come to end on Feb. 22 when it fell at FAU, 65-58.
