2020 Football Season Ticket Renewals Available Now

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall Ticket Office has announced that Marshall Football season tickets can now be renewed for the 2020 season. This year's football schedule will feature the strongest home slate of games played in Joan C. Edwards Stadium history. The 2020 season will be highlighted by marquee games with the ACC's Pittsburgh Panthers, three-time Fiesta Bowl Champion Boise State Broncos and defending C-USA Champion FAU Owls, along with conference opponents Rice Owls and Charlotte 49ers. This season will also include a special game on the 50th Anniversary of the Marshall Plane Crash on Nov. 14 against MTSU Blue Raiders.
Season ticket pricing remained the same in four of the five areas, with the Upper Endzone pricing being decreased slightly.
"We wanted to make sure that we kept our season ticket pricing where it was last year even though this year will have some of the biggest opponents to ever come into Huntington," said Cole Woodrum, Marshall's Assistant Athletics Director of Ticketing. "You can't over-exaggerate the importance of having a strong home schedule with getting season tickets. Our Director of Athletics, Mike Hamrick, did an excellent job of getting us two great non-conference opponents this year, and our conference rivals coming to town will make this a can't-miss season in Huntington."
Additionally, the Marshall Ticket Office has announced a weekly reward program for ticket holders who renew their season tickets during the renewal period. This will begin today, and everyone who renews their season ticket orders on Friday, Feb. 7 will receive a FREE Marco Bobblehead (ends at 11:59 p.m.).
After today, season ticket holders will be entered into weekly drawings based on when they renew to win free Herd-themed prizes. Renewing early will enter the ticket holder to win that week's prize, and will enter them every week thereafter for a prize. Various prizes include game day experience for two, an official game worn jersey, ticket and parking upgrades for a game, among many other prizes. The highlight of this program will be the Week 2 prize (must renew by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23 to enter), which will consist of a trip for two (2) to a to-be-determined Marshall Away Game during the 2020 football season. This trip will include being on the official travel party with the Marshall Football team and staff, hotel accommodations, Friday dinner accommodations, Big Green tailgate tickets pregame and tickets to the game on Saturday.
"This is one of the biggest prizes we have ever given away for renewing your season tickets early," said Matt Miller, Marshall's Director of Ticketing and Promotions. "There are plenty of great prizes throughout the nine-week renewal period, but renewing early will give our season ticket holders so many more opportunities to get these exciting giveaways."
Important season ticket renewal details:
- Season ticket pricing remained the same in four of the five areas from last season. Renewing your season tickets will not cost more than last year's tickets.
- Every 2019 season ticket holder will receive two (2) complimentary tickets to the 2020 Green and White Scrimmage held on April 25 at 2 p.m. Season ticket holders will receive these tickets in their hard copy renewal sent out in late February/early March. If the ticket holder renews online prior to the hard copy being sent out, these tickets will be sent out separately in March. Additional tickets are $5 each. West Lot parking will be $20 per spot.
- All season ticket holders will receive a discount on their order by renewing their tickets online.
- Renewing season tickets will enter the ticket holder into the weekly renewal reward program. One season ticket holder will be selected during each of the renewal period. - There are two zero-interest payment plan options for all ticket holders not wanting to do a full payment when they renew their tickets. There is 'Half-Now, Half-June 1' plan where patrons pay half of their order balance today and the other half of the balance on June 1. There is also 'Monthly' where patrons can pay off their order balance in equal installments on the first of every month between now and Aug. 1.
- The East Chairbacks area will once again come with a complimentary seatback included with every ticket purchased.
- All reserved lots in direct proximity to Edwards Stadium were sold out last season. The continuation of the Maple Lot behind CVS and the new Dunkin' Donuts on 5th Avenue are available for purchase. These spots are reserved spaces.
In addition to season ticket renewals being available, new buyers for the 2020 season are also welcome to place a non-refundable $100 deposit toward their season tickets. This deposit will be applied toward your season ticket order. Placing a deposit will allow you to select your season tickets prior to them going on-sale to the general public on April 25.
The season ticket renewal deadline is this Friday, April 10. Ticket holders who have not renewed their season tickets by this time will have their season ticket orders canceled. Starting the week of April 13, ticket office staff members will be calling all season ticket holders who requested a change or addition to their season ticket and parking orders. Once all season ticket holders who requested changes have been assisted, all first-time buyers who have placed a season ticket deposit will have the ability to select their seats.
