"We are glad to be back at High Point on Friday," said Caleb Bowen, Marshall's Assistant Coach for Cross Country. "Both squads are ready to roll and we'll have some really good competition to run with this weekend. Radford, Duke, Liberty, and High Point are all ranked in the Southeast region on the women's side, in addition to North Carolina and App State on the men's. It's going to be super competitive, which is exactly what we want going in to our conference championship. It should be a fun one!"
The Thundering Herd is coming off its run at the Louisville Classic two weekends ago, which saw the women place second in the event's Blue race. Abby Herring won the meet, individually, with a time of 17:45.7.
