Women’s Golf Travels to Inaugural Olde Stone Intercollegiate

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Marshall women's golf team is back on the road to play in the inaugural Olde Stone Intercollegiate, co-hosted by WKU and Lousiville. The three-round, two-day event is set for Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 25-26, and played at The Club at Olde Stone.
The course is a par-72, with total yardage of 6,212. Competition begins Monday at 8:45 a.m. with a shotgun start. The teams will play two rounds of continuous play on Monday, and then tee off the third round on Tuesday with another shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. Live scoring is provided by GolfStat.
Competing for the Herd will be graduate student Stormy Randazzo, seniors Torren Kalaskey and Jackie Schmidt, junior Makena Rauch and freshman Emily McLatchey. Marshall's players will begin the day on holes 6-10.
There are 14 teams in the field, and 10 ranked in the GolfStat Top 100. Along with the cohosts WKU and (No. 31) Louisville, Marshall will be facing (No. 50) Augusta, (No. 64) Charlotte, (No. 58) Coastal Carolina, (No. 84) Middle Tennessee, Memphis, Morehead State, (No. 98) Minnesota, (No. 80) Notre Dame, (No. 69) North Texas, (No. 40) Oklahoma and (No. 73) Wisconsin.
Marshall has had some time off in between tournaments, last being on the course Oct. 4-5, at the Butler Fall Invitational. The Herd improved on the final day in Indianapolis to move up to finish seventh out of 14 teams. Schmidt led Marshall finishing tied for 12th.
