Track and Field Announces 2021 Outdoor Schedule

Team continues competition March 19
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall track and field head coach Jeff Small announced Wednesday the program's 2021 outdoor schedule.
The Herd concluded the indoor portion of its 2020-21 season Sunday at the Conference USA Indoor Championships, when the team recorded the program's highest finish and point total in school history.
The program will return to action Friday, March 19 at the two-day 49ers Classic hosted by Conference USA opponent Charlotte.
The following weekend, the team travels south again for the two-day Winthrop Adidas Invitational in Rock Hill, South Carolina. After a weekend off, Marshall competes once again in the Palmetto State for the Gamecock Invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina on Saturday, April 10.
The team's final two regular season meets include a return to Charlotte's campus for the Charlotte Invitational beginning Friday April 23, followed by the Kentucky Relays hosted by the University of Kentucky starting Friday, April 30.
The 2021 Conference USA Outdoor Championships will be hosted by Middle Tennessee and is set to begin Thursday, May 13 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Marshall will seek to send athletes to the NCAA East Preliminary Regional competition for the fifth consecutive season in which the meet has been held, beginning Thursday, May 27 at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. The top-48 athletes from across the east region qualify for the NCAA Championships.
