Two-day, three-round event begins March 29

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Marshall women's golf team is back in action, March 29-30, at the Chattanooga Classic. The two-day, three-round event is hosted by Chattanooga and played at the Black Creek Club.
The course is a par 72 with total yardage of 6,159. The teams tee off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Monday and will play two rounds. The final round on Tuesday is scheduled for tee times beginning at 8 a.m. Live scoring of the event is provided through GolfStat.com.
Competing for the Thundering Herd will be seniors Kerri Parks and Stormy Randazzo, junior Torren Kalaskey, sophomore Makena Rauch and freshman Hanna Shrout will be making her collegiate debut.
Marshall last played March 15-16 at the UAB Spring Invite. Parks (tied for third) and Randazzo (tied for 10th) both finished in the top 10. Both seniors saw improvements in the second round and moved up the leaderboard with Randazzo moving up 14 places. The tournament was shortened to just two rounds due to inclement weather.
For Parks, it was her first finish of the season in the top 10, however she has placed in the top 20 in all three events to begin the 2021 spring season. It was also her ninth top 10 finish of her collegiate career. For Randazzo, it was a season-best finish and the sixth top 10 of her collegiate career.
The Herd is one of 14 teams playing in the Chattanooga Classic. The other programs are the host (No. 91 Golf Stat top 100) Chattanooga, UAB, Austin Peay, Colorado State, (No. 86) East Tennessee State, Georgia Southern, (No. 84) Iowa, James Madison, (No. 90) Middle Tennessee, Murray State, Samford, Toledo and (No. 81) WKU.
