CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Marshall women's golf team wrapped up the Chattanooga Classic with the final round on Tuesday from the Black Creek Club.
The Thundering Herd finished in 12th place while showing steady improvement throughout the event. Marshall's team score improved by nine strokes from the first to the second round and then another six strokes from the second to the third round.
Senior Stormy Randazzo led the Herd and saw improvement through the rounds as well. Randazzo improved her score by five strokes from the first to the second and then was another four strokes lower in the third round. On the final day she moved up 10 places on the leaderboard. Junior Torren Kalaskey dropped her score by five strokes on Tuesday and moved up eight places on the leaderboard. Kalaskey also collected seven birdies during the tournament.
East Tennessee State came away with the team victory. Iowa and Chattanooga finished tied for second, seven strokes behind ETSU. Tereza Melecka of ETSU held on for the win with a two-stroke lead over Esme Hamilton of Chattanooga.
