Women’s Golf Set to Begin Conference USA Championships

DADE CITY, Fla. – The Marshall women's golf team returns to the course, April 19-21, at the Conference USA Championships. The tournament is taking place at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club.
Teams tee off Monday morning at 9 a.m., with a shotgun start. The course is a par 72 with total yardage of 6,267. Live scoring will be provided by GolfStat.com.
Marshall was last in action at the Chattanooga Classic back on March 29-30. The Herd finished 12th. Marshall has played in four events this spring with a top finish of eighth at the UAB Spring Invite.
Competing for the Herd at the Championships will be seniors Kerri Parks and Stormy Randazzo, juniors Jackie Schmidt and Torren Kalaskey and sophomore Makena Rauch.
Parks finished as the runner-up at the 2019 C-USA Championships and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Conference USA was not able to host a 2020 Championship as the remainder of the season had been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Parks was also named to the 2021 All-Academic Team for the second time in her collegiate career this past Friday, April 16.
Parks, Randazzo, Kalalskey and Rauch have competed in all four events this spring for Marshall. Schmidt will be participating in her second tournament this season after playing at the UAB Spring Invite.
