Second Round Halted at River Landing Classic due to Darkness

WALLACE, N.C. – The Marshall women's golf team completed the first round and made it through most of the second round before play was halted on account of darkness, at the River Landing Classic on Monday.
The day began with a delayed start due to frost on the course as teams could not tee off until 10 a.m.
Marshall finished the first round in 11th place.
Senior Kerri Parks had a great start to the event, shooting a 1-under 71 and is tied for seventh. Parks sank back-to-back birdies on the second and third holes. Senior Stormy Randazzo and junior Torren Kalaskey had three birdies each in the first round.
East Carolina ended the first round with a four-stroke lead over the host team UNC Wilmington. On the player leaderboard, Nicole Abelar of Coastal Carolina and Julie Boysen Hillestad of East Carolina are tied for the top spot after scoring a 7-under, 65.
