Marshall Baseball Announces Prospect Camps

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University baseball team announced three summer prospect camp dates on Wednesday. Each camp is designed for athletes with the desire to play baseball at the Division I level in Conference USA., the fourth highest rated conference in RPI. Each camp will consist of a pro-style workout, followed by a simulated game. Click here to register.

Given the NCAA recruiting dead period since March of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been no in-person recruiting in over a year. The class of 2021, 2022, 2023 and many JUCO players have missed out on the opportunity of performing in front of coaches this past year. These camps will give players the opportunity to be seen by Marshall's and other teams' coaching staffs as these camps are used to help identify future prospects. The camps are open to everyone ninth grade and above.

"It's an exciting time for Marshall baseball," head coach Jeff Waggoner said. "With the new stadium coming, we have to catch up on finding the right players to help us compete in Conference USA. These three camps will be a huge tool for us in making up lost recruiting time due to the pandemic."

All campers will receive a t-shirt. All three camps will be held at the Kennedy Center, located at Kennedy Center, 5800 Ohio River Rd, Huntington, WV.
