Partnership will allow student-athletes to build their personal brands

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Athletics announced Thursday a three-year department-wide partnership with INFLCR in a move to empower student-athletes and help grow their personal brands.

"This is an important step for our athletic department in the digital marketplace," said Jeff O'Malley, Marshall's Interim Director of Athletics. "INFLCR will assist our staff, coaches and student-athletes in enhancing their brands and navigating the ever-changing landscape in college athletics. This partnership will amplify our message while assisting our athletic department and our student-athletes in the name, image and likeness era."

INFLCR – pronounced "influencer" – is a content-creation platform that assists college programs, professional sports teams and leagues monetize and disseminate photos, videos and graphics. How It Works
INFLCR's platform helps college and university athletic departments send internal media and national photography content to personalized galleries for each of their athletes, coaches and other brand ambassadors.

Those athletes and brand ambassadors are able to access their content galleries through the INFLCR mobile app, and can then share the content to their personal social media accounts.

After the fact, schools are able to measure the increased audience engagement coming from the much-larger collective audience of those athletes and brand ambassadors.

Athletic departments use this approach to bolster their online presence in a way that impacts event attendance, recruiting, fundraising, and other strategic goals.
