Quotes from Caleb Bowen, Marshall's Assistant Coach for Cross Country
"Today was a great experience for our athletes to go up against some really quality teams with Virginia Tech and Radford. We are thankful that the rain went away and we were able to get our meet in.

Early meets like this are so important for the development of the athletes. This time of year, training is focused on high volume and longer reps to get ready for the longer races in the championship season. But these short races are perfect to work on speed and to help get us where we need to be, come October.

I think, overall, we could have raced better today, but we got what we needed from the meet and are excited for UVA here in a couple of weeks."
