Herd Men’s Basketball to Host UPIKE for Final Exhibition

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University men's basketball team starts is set to play its final exhibition contest before the 2022-23 regular season against UPIKE on Wednesday night in the Cam Henderson Center.

The Herd took its opening exhibition from the University of Charleston 92-66 on Friday night in the Cam Henderson Center.
Redshirt senior Andrew Taylor led all players with 29 points and six assists while grabbing six rebounds. The native of Corbin, Kentucky, shot 11-for-23 from the field as he made five of his eight three-point attempts.
Fifth-year senior Taevion Kinsey added 20 points, five rebounds and five assists in the victory.
Junior Obinna Anochili-Killen and freshman Micah Handlogten each recorded a double-double in the contest. While they both grabbed 10 rebounds each, Anochili-Killen tallied 14 points with Handlogten dropping 10 points.
Freshman Jacob Conner also reached double-figure points with 10 by making four of his five attempts from the field, including a pair of three pointers.
