BIRMINGHAM, Al. – Marshall will take part in the 2022 Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend at the Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama.

The action will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. ET/9 CT with the heptathlon and will conclude Sunday with the 4x400 meter relay at approximately 3:50 p.m. ET/2:50 CT.

Last season, the Thundering Herd finished sixth with 50 points in Birmingham, its best finish as C-USA members.

Coming into this weekend, sprinter Mikah Alleyne has the conference's second fastest time in the 200 (24.36) and 400 meters (54.87). The Beckley, W.Va. native earned a C-USA silver medal in the 400 last season.

Ashonti Warner (8.51 seconds) and Tyra Thomas (8.61) enter the meet with the third and fourth-fastest times in the 60 meter hurdles.

In the field events, MaryAnn Adebayo has the league's second-best mark in the weight throw (19.07 meters). The Hedgesville, W.Va. native took second in the event last year at 19.01 meters.
