Herd to host EKU and Fairmont State in the Cam, April 2

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall volleyball head coach Ari Aganus announced the Herd's spring exhibition schedule on Wednesday.

The Thundering Herd will have three dates on the road and host Eastern Kentucky and Fairmont State on April 2 in the Cam Henderson Center.

"It's been great finally having an 'off' season to train and individually continue to finesse our skills," coach Aganus said. "I'm excited to have some really tough competition this spring to be able to highlight areas we need to work on as well as what our successes will be next fall! We hope to see everyone in the Cam for our home tournament!"

Marshall played its 2020 schedule during the spring of 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and then turned around and played a full fall schedule.

The Herd will begin spring 2022 action on March 10 at West Virginia State. Marshall will then be home against EKU and Fairmont State with a tournament on April 2. The Herd then travels to Louisville, Kentucky, for the Kiva Spring College Tournament on April 9, and will finish on April 16 at Ohio.

Fans are allowed to attend the matches.

Marshall has 11 players returning from last season and have added fifth-year senior Kaitlyn Gehler, a transfer from Wyoming, and freshman Bella Thompson with both already enrolled.

Coach Aganus will be entering her fourth season with the Herd this coming fall. She has an overall record of 37-31 and has had several players receive All-Conference USA accolades during her young coaching career.
