Beckley native cracks 59 second mark

NASHVILLE, Tn.
Mikah Alleyne raced to victory in the 400 hurdles to lead the Thundering Herd on the second day of competition, Saturday at Vanderbilt's Music City Challenge in Nashville.
 
The Beckley, W.Va. native won the event in a time of 58.59 seconds, a mark that stands second only to teammate Ashonti Warner in the program's history. Warner's time of 58.17 seconds was set on April 16 at the JMU Invite.
 
Alleyne's time moves her up one spot to fourth in this year's Conference USA 400 Hurdles standings.

Marshall is back in action at the Conference USA Championships, which will be held May 12-15 in San Antonio, Texas.
