HUNTINGTON, W.Va.
– Marshall's Mikah Alleyne and Ashonti Warner will represent the Thundering Herd Thursday at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Preliminary Championship, the school announced today.

The meet will be held at Indiana University's Robert C. Haugh Complex in Bloomington.

The duo will compete in the first round of the 400 Hurdles at 8:20 p.m. ET. The top 24 finishers from that round will then advance to Saturday's quarterfinal, a race that will be held at 7:25 p.m. ET.

The top 12 finishers from the quarterfinal rounds of both the East and West regionals (Fayetteville, Arkansas) will then compete in the 2022 NCAA Championships, which are held June 8-11 in Eugene, Oregon.

Warner comes into the competition with the nation's 17th-fastest time of 58.04 seconds, a school record that was set at last week's Conference USA Championships in San Antonio, Texas.

Alleyne's 58.59-second performance at Nashville, Tennessee's Outdoor Music City Challenge on April 29 is the 24th-fastest time in the country.
