Leitch Signs with Phillies

Herd catcher joins Philadelphia
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University baseball catcher Ryan Leitch signed a contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night.

A native of Whitby, Ontario, Canada, he concluded the 2022 season with a team-high 17 doubles. Leitch's .307 batting average, 66 hits and 43 RBI were on second on the squad as he blasted 12 home runs in 53 games, all starts, during the campaign. Leitch smashed 10 long balls in 2021.
