Herd Women’s Golf Tied for Third after First Two Rounds at Grandover Fall Classic

Bull tied for fourth
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Marshall University women's golf team is tied for third after the first two rounds at the Grandover Fall Classic in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Monday.
"We have put ourselves in the perfect position going into the final round tomorrow," Herd women's golf coach Brooke Burkhammer said after the opening day of competition. "This team loves to compete and we are doing just that. If we play our game and focus on what we can control, we will have a great outcome. Proud of this group and the way they represent Marshall!"
The Herd sits two shots behind High Point and Howard on the team leaderboard.
Freshman Abbey Bull sits in a tie for fourth after shooting three-over par in the first round and four-over in the second. The Australian had four birdies during the first 36 hours, and had an eagle on the 13th hole during the first round.
Also in the top 10 among individuals for Marshall are sophomore Emily McLatchey and freshman Olivia Kochan who are tied for eighth. Both student-athletes had eight birdies during the first two rounds and McLatchey the lowest round of the day for the Herd with a one-over par in the second round.
