Marshall coming off dramatic 3-2 victory in last contest

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University women's soccer team looks to build upon their victory last Sunday over App State in a road match at ULM. Kickoff from Brown Stadium in Monroe, Louisiana will be at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT.

PRE-MATCH NOTES
Marshall is coming off their first Sun Belt Conference victory of the season with a dramatic 3-2 win over App State. Senior Morgan White scored the winning goal in the 87th minute, her second of the match. White leads the conference in goals (8), goals per game (0.80), points (17), and points per game (1.70).
Senior Kat Gonzalez leads the league with 38 total shots. Gonzalez provided two assists in the victory Sunday, including the winning assist to White.
Freshman Alexis Wolgemuth is also a Sun Belt leader in saves per game. Her 5.40 saves per game average is first in the SBC.
Saturday will be the first-ever meeting between Marshall and the Warhawks. The Marshall women's soccer program has only played in the Pelican State on four previous occasions when facing the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.
ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
Sean Fraser is in charge of the ULM soccer program. The third year coach enters Saturday's match with a 28-20-2 record for the Warhawks.
ULM were picked to finish fourth in the Sun Belt West Preseason Poll. The team enters Saturday's contest with a 9-2-1 record.
Sophomore Inge Konst leads the team in goals with six. Sophomore Mara Grutkamp has six assists of her own to lead the attack as well.
