Herd Tennis Travels to Lexington to Take on Wildcats

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University tennis begins its dual season on the road as it travels to Lexington, Kentucky, to take on the Kentucky Wildcats Wednesday afternoon.

Marshall opened the Spring season at the NIU Huskie Winter Invitational from January 14 through January 16.

Sophia Hurrion picked up a pair of singles victories at the event in addition to a doubles victory with partner Andjela Lopicic.

Aisling McGrane took a singles match and a pair of doubles contests, one with Doroteja Joksovic and another with Gabrielle Clairotte. Both Clairotte and Joksovic also won a singles match each.

SCOUTING KENTUCKY
The Wildcats enter Wednesday's contest with a 3-1 record, suffering its only defeat to Illinois on Sunday, 4-3.

UK will take on Cincinnati Wednesday morning before its matchup with the Herd.
