Herd Tennis to Host Pair of Home Duals on Friday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University tennis team (1-0) is set to welcome the University of Charleston and Bellarmine on Friday for its first two home duals of the season.

The Herd opened its dual season with a 4-3 road win on Wednesday against the Kentucky Wildcats.

Sophia Hurrion sealed the match with a three-set singles victory. Johanna Strom also took her singles match in three sets.

Emma Vanderheyden earned a straight-sets win in singles, while Andjela Lopicic won via walkover.

SCOUTING UNIVERSITY OF CHARLESTON
The Golden Eagles come to Huntington with a perfect 4-0 record.

Pringle Singh is 2-0 at number one singles.

SCOUTING BELLARMINE
The Knights come into the contest with a 1-4 record after suffering a 4-1 defeat at Louisville on Friday.

Bellarmine's win came against NIU in a narrow 4-3 decision prior to the macth against the Cardinals.
