Herd Men's Golf Readies for Sea Palms Invitational

Marshall looks to continue momentum from Loyola Intercollegiate finish
ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Marshall's men's golf team heads south this week in search of continued success as they compete in the Sea Palms Invitational, hosted by Western Carolina University at Sea Palms Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
The Thundering Herd saw success in its last tournament as Tyler Jones finished T-6 overall at 7-under to lead a Marshall effort that saw the team place fourth out of 20 teams competing in the Loyola Intercollegiate in Baltimore, Maryland.
Jones leads the team into the Sea Palms Invitational in a full 20-team field that will compete in a 54-hole tournament with first round action getting underway on Thursday morning.
In addition to Jones, Ryan Bilby and Christian Boyd are also looking to build off strong efforts that saw them finish under par for the week at the Loyola Intercollegiate.
Andrew Wyss, Kyle Mitchell and Clayton Thomas will also be competing for the Thundering Herd in the Sea Palms Invitational.
