Armbruster Makes History as MU T&F Wins Four Events Saturday

HARRISONBURG, Va. — The Marshall track and field team made history Saturday in Virginia en route to four individual victories and an additional 34 placed individuals.
Marshall senior Brett Armbruster broke a record held since 1999 in the men's outdoor 800. His 1:48.82 broke a record set by James Kneeland 24 years ago. The two-time Sun Belt Conference Track Athlete of the Week leads the conference in the 800.
Also at UVA, Evan White broke the 15 minute mark in the 5K, racing a 14:46.49, a number that would score in the conference meet currently.
Meanwhile at James Madison, the Herd took four individual victories with Kylee Mastin in the 1500, Tyra Thomas in the 100 hurdles, MaryAnn Adebayo in the Hammer, and Macie Majoy in the Pole Vault.
