Pacella Signs with Washington Wild Things

Lefty made 17 starts during 2023 season

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Former Marshall University baseball left-handed pitcher Raymond Pacella signed with the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League, an MLB Partner League.
 
Pacella, a native of Stony Point, New York, played three seasons in Huntington appearing in 35 appearances, including 30 starts, throwing 156.1 innings on the mound with 155 strikeouts. He punched out 7 or more batters in 9 appearances, including a career-high 11 at Florida Atlantic on March 27th, 2021. On April 17th, 2021, Pacella earned a victory by throwing a complete game against FIU when he allowed just one run on three hits and punched out 8.
 
This past season he made 17 starts, tying the program's single-season start record for a pitcher.
