Marshall returns home Thursday for “Push 2K Together” Match

TROY, Ala. – The Marshall women's soccer team (6-4-1) overcame early adversity in its 2-1 road win over Troy (5-6-1).
The hosts put in a goal 36 seconds into the contest, with Gabrielle Chartier scoring for the Trojans.
What followed was a decisive final 89 minutes for Head Coach Michael Swan's side, with goals coming from Cassidy Bell to equalize, and Bailey Fisher to take the lead.
"Great win on the road tonight," Coach Swan said. "You have to put in those gutsy performances on the road and I thought we were brilliant in the second half. The level tonight that came off the bench tonight was the difference tonight. Couldn't be happier for them."
For Fisher, it was her league-leading fourth match-winning goal of the season. The sophomore from Hurricane's 49th minute header was crossed in from Abi Hugh.
The winning goal came in the early stages of the second half, with Cassidy Bell's shot from distance coming on the other side of the break in the 43rd minute.
The win served as Marshall's sixth of the year, snapping a tough stretch of four matches.
