HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall women's soccer team (5-0-1) hosts Liberty (6-0) in a high-profile match Sunday at 1 p.m. from Hoops Family Field. The Herd is coming off 2-0 a win over Miami (Ohio) Thursday, with the Flames most recently defeating West Virginia, 3-1 last week.

PRE-MATCH NOTES
- Marshall's 2-0 win Thursday represented the team's fifth win, which is the most since 2018.
- The Herd's Olivia Gandee scored her first-career goal in the victory. With no shortage of flair for the dramatic, the 30-yard strike sealed MU's third-straight win.
- Sunday will be the final non-conference match before the Herd's Sun Belt Conference opener on September 17 against ULM. September 17 will also be Senior Day for Marshall women's soccer.

- Liberty is 6-0 with a win over WVU on its resume in 2023. The Flames have scored 13 goals and allowed three thus far.
- Sophomores Ivy Garner and Allison Hansford lead the team with three goals and one assist each.
- The Flames were picked to win the Conference USA. The team featured five players on the C-USA Preseason Poll, including Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Bridie Herman.
