Marshall Volleyball Welcomes Georgia Southern for SBC Home Openers

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Volleyball team (9-6, 0-2 SBC) is set to host the Georgia Southern Eagles (10-1, 0-0 SBC) for its SBC home opening matches on Thursday and Friday in the Cam Henderson Center. Both contests are set for 5 p.m.

PRE-MATCH NOTES

The Herd began conference play at Coastal Carolina last weekend falling in both contests.
MU leads the conference and ranks 32nd in the country with 850 digs this season with Peyton Neal registering 239 of them.
Beatrice Ciccarelli sits seventh in the SBC with 55 blocks this season.
Brynn Brown has three triple-doubles this season ranking fourth in the NCAA.

SCOUTING GEORGIA SOUTHERN

The Eagles were originally scheduled to open SBC play against Old Dominion last weekend, but the games were canceled due to Hurricane Helene.
GS enters the weekend with a 10-1 record, winning its last nine matches.
Georgia Southern ranks third in the NCAA at 18.73 digs per set and seventh in kills per set at 14.22.
At 5.97 digs per set, Ashlyn Lovett sits second in the nation.
