NORFOLK, Va. - Marshall's junior goalkeeper Alexis Wolgemuth made nine saves in a goalless draw Wednesday evening for the Herd women's soccer team (3-6-5, 1-3-4 SBC) on the road against Old Dominion (9-4-3, 4-1-3 SBC).
Wolgemuth's nine important saves were a season-high, and tied a career-high for her, a mark also set in the state of Virginia against Liberty in 2022. Her career-high is 11 also against the Flames last season.

The Lincolnton, N.C. native pitched her 11th career clean-sheet with the Herd. She is third all-time in program history.
Marshall's draw leads to an important point for Coach Rafa Simoes's Herd, who is in the thick of the race for a spot in the Sun Belt Conference postseason championship.
"Today showed how interesting of a game soccer is, it was 0-0 but was an electric game on both ends," Simoes said. Congratulations to [ODU], they are a great team. We had some chances and they had a little more than us, but Alexis had a great day. For us it is no surprise because we see Alexis do that regularly in training. Of course we wanted to win, but I could not ask more from the team. I am very proud of them and we look forward to playing in front of great crowds in our final two regular season matches at home."

Marshall's point leader Bailey Fisher's deflected strike provided the Herd's best opportunity of the match to score.
