HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Director of Track and Field Keith Roberts announced two staff promotions and title changes within the program prior to the start of the 2024-25 season.
Coach Tessa Roberts has been named the Associate Head Coach for Thundering Herd Track and Field, overseeing the program's largest roster to date in the Sun Belt Conference era.
Coach Andrea Deem has been promoted to the program's Recruiting Coordinator, in addition to her Assistant Coaching title. The Herd is coming off an offseason in which the program announced its largest signing class in team history.
"Coach Tessa is an experienced coach who provides leadership for the student-athletes as well as the staff," Director Roberts said. "She can coach various event groups and helps with the overall function of the program. Her experience as a member of 19-team championship staffs gives her the understanding to help take the program to the highest level."
"Coach Deem is a relentless recruiter for the program," Director Roberts added. "She understands the hard work and commitment that it takes to be a great recruiter. That combined with her passion for Marshall University is invaluable. She can recruit and coach at a high level and that skill is extremely critical to our success as a program."
